Brilliant, very interesting, thanks.

It would be good if internet porn as an industry had managed to regulate itself instead of being buffeted by these conflicted interests. I struggle to have sympathy with them if they end up over regulated, most of the industry has resisted any and all safety measures or standard setting.

The church’s may have a weird agenda but the feminists actually have had a legitimate human rights point for years. As a feminist I am still concerned about the dark side of porn re distorting kids view of good, real sex, of hosting videos that are child abuse and contain violence against women (& I don’t mean BDSM).

There is some good porn, some of it is creative, funny and kinky, and I am glad it exists but I have seen enough on porn hub to know there is a dark side that is easily accessible to kids. I don’t need any scientific evidence to see the problem, any science I’ve seen tends to go to extremes, ie does watching violent porn increase violent sexual assault on women - but what about the suffering involved in creating distorted views of good sex especially for young people with no other experience.

Would really like to read anything you have written on this - the dark side of porn, or the effects of open access to porn on the lives of children - or could we have some writing on this please?

You are a rare objective voice worth listening to 😃
