Wow, so. Basically, it's much worse and more insidious than I'd thought.

Yeah, it’s pretty pathetic isn’t it? So selfish. But we all suspected that, didn’t we?

That’s one of the reasons why I got my vasectomy this past September. As a matter of fact, I was making plans for a vasectomy as early as 2021.

Oh? That’s awesome. How’s yours treating you? Mine is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made tbh. Within 2 hours of Texas passing their anti-abortion bill, I had an appointment with a doc to get the snip. I’ve not regretted it for a moment. Never looked back.

Welcome to the brotherhood! Yes, my snip is one of my best decisions as well. It feels so freeing to know that I can have sex and not have to worry about creating a pregnancy. No black cloud. I refuse to let the government take away my sex life. Sex is NOT JUST FOR PROCREATION. I don’t want kids, I never will want kids, and I also won’t adopt.

One thing that made my first time having post-vasectomy sex so awesome was the fact that my sex life henceforth is basically a flipping of the bird to all the restrictive sexual strategists, the hyper-religious prudes, and the socially conservative asphyxiators of sexual freedom. The prudish, extremist, anti-sex activists in government need to get over themselves and realize that ejaculating inside of our partners is a totally normal, natural sex act, and that people should feel free to experience and enjoy that without having to worry that they’ll be forced into parenthood against their will. Sex can be very consequential in some ways, but it can also be very fun. No one should get in the way of that.

Man, you took the words right out of my mouth. 100% the way I feel about things. Especially in today's climate with everything being stupid expensive, it's just the cautious, responsible way to be.

Indeed. I got mine done even as a childfree, single 33-year-old man. There’s even a recent rise in the number of men who think like you and I do and have taken action accordingly. https://www.nytimes.com/2022/08/12/well/vasectomy-contraception-abortion.html

Sometimes it just sucks to have confirmation.
