New Stories: The Science of Sex (And a Sincere Thank You)
ICYMI: Here are some recent articles for you to read
Hey there,
First and foremost, I want to start this off by thanking you for being a loyal follower and subscriber to The Science of Sex. Whether you’re a paid subscriber who’s helping to transform humanity’s understanding and awareness of human sexuality through the power of science or just hanging around to check out the free stuff, I unequivocally cherish the fact that you’ve chosen this newsletter to subscribe to.
Below, you’ll find all the latest articles from the last few weeks, but first, a word of my gratitude…
A Sincere Thank You
Seriously. Thank you for making this possible.
The last few weeks have been both intense and exciting. I’ve *thoroughly enjoyed* every bit of research and writing I’ve done. Every word I’ve scrolled and every pluck of the keyboard I’ve stroked have been a treat.
Sure, my back is killing me. Sure, I have cubital tunnel syndrome in my left arm from typing so much. On most days, I can be found in my chair, nose-first in a book or science journal, rummaging about for all the juicy details I want to convey, and then churning words like a factory worker on a line for several hours a day, but honestly, I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
I love science. I love sex (who doesn’t, right?).
So what could be better than science and sex together? Right. Not much.
It feels good to contribute to something bigger than yourself. I’m a firm believer in the fact that there’s immense power in building something bigger than you. And that’s exactly how I see your subscriptions and readership—as a contribution to something bigger than all of us.
That’s what you’re doing just by being a reader and loyal subscriber.
You’re helping me spend countless hours pouring through and exhuming piles of dusty, old, decaying research that’s fallen into the bowels of the internet, so humanity doesn’t have to turn to lengthy and confusing science-jargon articles just to get the low down on science’s current understanding of sexuality.
And don’t even get me started on the prices of science journals these days. It’s obscene!
My goal is to make the science of sex accessible to people. That’s how it should be.
And your subscriptions help me out immensely with that goal. So I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
If you want to upgrade your free subscription for the price of a cup of coffee per month ($5 per month), you can do so below, and you’ll help me on my quest to advance our global understanding of human sexuality in a way that’s accessible to anyone and everyone.
…and believe me, there’s much, much more to come…
